Booker T. & the M.G.'s are an instrumental R&B/funk band that were influential in shaping the sound of Southern and Memphis soul. In the 1960s, as members of the house band of Stax Records, they played on hundreds of recordings by artists such as Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Bill Withers and Johnnie Taylor. They also released instrumental records under their own name and recorded the instrumental “Time is tight” for the soundtrack to the 1968 film UpTight. This instantly recognisable iconic number has been recorded by a number of other artistes including The Shadows and The Clash and is arguably best known for its use in the film The Blues Brothers.
This is a one off single rhythm complete with intro's/endings/fills & variations written in the style of the instrumental for Korg instruments. (Please note this is not a song file - often refered to as a midi file - that refers to and plays only one song. Subject to the chords you play on your instrument this style can be used for many numbers of which Time is tight is just one).
