This is a ballad written, produced, and performed by Stevie Wonder and remains his best selling single to date, having reached No.1 in a record 19 different charts around the world. The song was used as the lead single from the 1984 soundtrack album ‘The Woman in Red’ and reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 3 weeks in October 1984.
It is his only solo UK No.1, staying at the top for six weeks. In the process it also became Motown Records' biggest-selling single in the UK, a distinction it still holds as of 2019. In addition, the song won both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The song also received three nominations at the 27th Grammy Awards for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
This is a one-off single rhythm complete with intro's/endings/fills & variations written in the style of the song for Yamaha SFF instruments. (Please note this is not a song file - often referred to as a midi file - that refers to and plays only one song. Subject to the chords you play on your instrument this style can be used for many numbers of which I Just Called To Say I Love You is just one).
