Apache - Korg Single Styles

Apache is an instrumental written by Jerry Lordan. The title reflects the source of his inspiration, the 1954 American western film ‘Apache’. Although first recorded by guitarist Bert Weedon in early 1960, it is better known for the Shadows version recorded at Abbey Road Studio in June and then released July 1960. Singer-guitarist Joe Brown had bought an Italian-built guitar echo chamber that he did not like and gave it to Hank Marvin who developed a distinctive sound using it and the tremolo arm of his Fender Stratocaster. It topped the UK Singles Chart for five weeks. The Shadows originally discovered the instrumental when on tour with Lordan as a supporting act. Perhaps suprisingly, Jerry played it on a ukulele. Lordan figured the tune would fit the Shadows, the band agreed and the rest is history!

This is a one off single rhythm complete with intro's/endings/fills & variations written in the style of the song for Korg instruments. (Please note this is not a song file - often refered to as a midi file - that refers to and plays only one song. Subject to the chords you play on your instrument this style can be used for many numbers of which Apache is just one).
